Here is a look at the break down of thought
over the years at T.F.W.F.! The page is a work in progress... The Beginning… In the winter of 1998 one young man rediscovered a passion when he moved back from a year abroad. The passion was wrestling, something he had loved as a child watching the various promotions on TV and their eccentric on air characters do battle week in and week out. In that winter of 1998, Ian took his love for sports entertainment to the next level, by introducing the world to his creation over the internet, The Totally Fictional Wrestling Federation also known as T.F.W.F..
Starting Out… The beginning of the T.F.W.F. was complicated; it was about making a new group of friends interested in wrestling either again or for the first time. Trust me, it was difficult. But finally after much deliberation, Ian was able to make T.F.W.F. based loosely on the e-fed systems Ian had seen on the internet that summer, Ian made a federation solely based on a few friends from overseas and University friends dividing them into the two groups The Southfield Mob (name is taken from the road our University is on) against The Firm (taken from nothing except sounding evil, lol). The sides were divided with a core roster of about ten people. The feuds were not exciting; the rpers in most cases didn’t have a clue. If was to tell you Naldo started out ripping off ‘Matrix’ (best analogy even if it was before the film was made, you know those action flicks of mysterious vigilantes) type movies for his quotes in his rps you wouldn’t believe me. However, none of us knew much different, there was even a suggestion at one stage of turning the T.F.W.F. into merely a story without rpers…ohhh how the e-fed smarks laughed at the young Ian. The First Major Event… After a month of trying things out there was a realization that T.F.W.F. needed to get a bit of bite into it. The recommendation that T.F.W.F. introduce Championships was brought forth which much excitement. Yes, someone would have bragging rights as one the 29th of Novemeber 1998, the T.F.W.F. held it’s longest event a night to decide it’s Champions and the night which will be known as the 'Birth of the T.F.W.F.' in an exciting finale, Naldo captured the T.F.W.F. Championship beating The Assistant to be crowned the first ever T.F.W.F. Champion. As hoped the introduction of Championships had the desired effect, the rp boards became hot, the seemingly go nowhere feud of The Southfield Mob and The Firm became hot and finally the T.F.W.F. had landed on the e-fed map. You might even say people started to take notice… The first PPV… So you look at T.F.W.F., people getting into it, Ian the pivotal part of relations to e-fedders from over the pond and e-fedders in the UK. Hey, Ian making international relations! Lol. Yes the T.F.W.F. had allowed the doors to creep every so slightly open and allow e-fedders into it’s closed community. The height of the feud was The Management’s continuing war with the Southfield Mob, his attempts to throw anything at them including a 8 foot 500 pound rper known as Samson, in fact Samson Toastell the handler epitomized what T.F.W.F. was looking to add when opening the doors, solid rpers who could teach and yet were not ego driven. After an absolute disaster of a first PPV at Highlight Night 1999, Ian sat down and made the decision to launch what he called a ‘Pay Per View Spectacular’ scheduled in the University summer holidays he could dedicate time to it’s booking and so forth and also put it on his actual birth day. Death or Glory was it’s given name as Ian gave the ‘fans’ and ‘rpers’ what they wanted labeled the match of the century it was Naldo vs. Samson. The best the originals had to offer and the World Champion against the man who the T.F.W.F. had allowed the door to open to ever so slightly and had come in kicked it down and shown these young rpers how to rp. Not many were surprised to see Samson became the World Champion that night, but for everyone it marked a great night of rping and result reading. Death or Glory became the mark of the PPV calendar from then on and T.F.W.F. took yet another massive step forward. That year T.F.W.F. would add two more PPVs to it’s calendar, but nothing could take the magic of June 23rd 1999. T.F.W.F. kicks off 2000 with a bang… Lots of people did exciting things in 2000, after all it was a landmark year for anything and everything. T.F.W.F. became slightly stale again towards the end of 1999, memories of June 23rd now seemed a long time away and the camp was becoming restless. Instead of throwing the T.F.W.F. into a PPV, Ian felt it needed some excitement in the weekly results to get people interested again. Therefore he booked the strangest match ever were Samson would defend his title in an over the top rope battle royal against every man in the company. Naturally the opportunity to upset the great Samson was an inspiration for everyone to rp like mad. Ian had a twist though, he had primarily used Dave Fimary as a voice as The Management, but after talks with Fimary about having him turn into more of a wrestler and not just a rper on the boards with no matches, he entered Fimary into the battle royal. To the shock of everyone Ian engineered secret rp screenings of Carl Mouth the younger brother of John Mouth to make him a monster character. With this in mind the roster was shocked when The Management betrayed Samson and won the title and where shocked further when Nemesis was introduced being the same size as Samson forming a instant feud. It was exactly what 2000 needed and was the first T.F.W.F. look at bringing in an unknown at the top ‘of the company’ a success as well (though in later years this wouldn't be so successful). The T.F.W.F. now had legitimately four top tier stars in Naldo, Nemesis, Samson and The Management with the other emerging members of Pimp In, Flamo and The Assistant the T.F.W.F. was looking very strong and more and more people were trying to get into the T.F.W.F.’s action. A step too far?... Impressed with the success generated from the night known as ‘Double Cross’, Ian decided that is exactly what T.F.W.F. needed, more and more shock tactics. Things were not helping off the scenes either, Fimary realizing he was a decent rper allowed the success to get to his head and actively started going to different feds as new characters it became so bad that the World title was looking almost worthless now, it seemed The Management might well become an 'in house character'. What to do? Inspiration came in…after visiting the infamous ‘Southfield’ house, Ian had watched an epic N64 battle between Naldo, Pimp In, Chopper and Franny J over their ‘house title’. Watching closely no one would realize Ian would use the idea of the match to base the next stage of ideas for T.F.W.F.. Splitting the Tag Champions apart! Naldo and Pimp In were without a doubt the two keenest of the rpers from the University side and without a doubt both had the most potential. Ian therefore threw a little spanner into the works…after solid rping from Radders and Flamo in a strangely organized title defense he allowed the Champions to be beat only to reclaim the gold moments later. Immediately both sides backs were up, Naldo and Pimp In declared they didn’t deserve to lose their record and Flamo and Radders claimed if they had won why did the lose straight after. The first signs of tension were starting to show which Ian liked, it showed passion. Taking the idea from what he had seen on the N64, he released Fimary, kept The Management character and allowed the character to become ultimately evil. He booked the fatal four way as he had seen on the N64 allowing the exact same outcome as he had seen on the N64 when Pimp In out rp’d Naldo. The fans were livid, the rpers were livid, what had Ian done, had he made the biggest mistake yet. Two massive roster shakeups in the space of a few months without a PPV. It was suffice to say things looked bleak, it looked as if the T.F.W.F. wouldn’t survive! Taking a step back… As T.F.W.F. was looking bleak, Ian retracted slightly from his guns, he immediately tried to rectify the situation by booking Nemesis vs. Pimp In. However, Pimp In wasn’t strong enough as a rper and lost what was a crucial match for him establishing himself. Ian had seemingly broken up the Southfield Mob, made three new stables in The Warriors, The Love Shack and The King’s Court (to make matters worse he had made a half brother of The Management whom served no purpose except leading a stable that Samson should have lead!) and was going nowhere. He had killed off Naldo vs. Pimp In before it had started as now he had Pimp In feuding with his brother and had Naldo seemingly doing nothing! T.F.W.F. needed time to evaluate, Ian then went another mistake further and booked Samson vs. Nemesis prior to DOG 2000. Samson won killing and heat Nemesis had made and yet again we had no main event…T.F.W.F. was now shoveling the dirt onto it’s own grave as bickering and fighting broke out… Like a Phoenix from the flames!!! Unfortunately 2000 takes up so much of the history due to it being such a turbulent time. Ian sat down and worked out a set of objectives for T.F.W.F., it might have seen a little over the top, but the fed was basically dying on it’s ass. No one had any idea what to do. But other things behind the scenes started to take care of themselves. Naldo and Pimp In started to feud finally…Pimp In and Gremlin started to really put on a great sibling rivalry…Naldo and Nemesis started to click as well! Where thing starting to turn a corner? Apparently so a feeder fed was opened known as the NRWF, with a sudden upsurge of new rpers. Graduating from the school were Chris Chaos and Tiger Young whom seemed to potentially be stars in the making. DOG 2000 was lacking one final thing a heroic performance. Turning to the mid upper eventer Flamo, Ian took a massive gamble shoving the former IC Champion into the Main Event, but the gamble paid off. Flamo rp’d like a man possessed destroying Samson on the board and capturing a fantastic win. DOG 2000 was a success across the board and finally the results of the month or so of skepticism could be seen… Another Ian twist… Flamo had pulled off a victory that shocked quite a few, but Ian wanted to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. Giving Pimp In a second chance he booked a quick title defence for Flamo only to see the Champion falter at the first hurdle. With Pimp In back as Champion, Ian had only one choice…Pimp In vs. Naldo… The feud to end all feuds… Taking months of snow ball effect hatred Pimp In and Naldo spent a month of blowing each other out of the water and were destined to meet at a new mini PPV Dependence Day I, now with the title on the line it was perfect. He thing which had divided the team now brought them back to destroy each other. T.F.W.F. had now taken itself out of the grave and was burying the likes of rivals ECHA with its storylines. Interest from ECHA stars began to come in were as before they had taken the likes of Samson and Law and Order to them. Most of this put down to the greatest match of all time. The New Breed… A direct results of the fantastic PPV encounter between Pimp In and Naldo saw the emergence of T.F.W.F. and a host of new stars. In the late summer of 2000, the T.F.W.F. added Fallen Angel, Night Hawk, The English Invader and The Damned Yankee to it’s roster along with a whole new legion of people. Without a doubt though, these four men were the stand out four of the new breed. Bringing an exciting new rping style to the T.F.W.F. known as the ‘Hollywood’ style, the four quickly captured major titles and showed how good the T.F.W.F. could put over new talent, unfortunately not all the roster felt the new talent were worthwild and ultimately tensions would split the fed in half!!!! Tensions… Tensions were increasingly formed around the emergence of the new stars particularly Fallen Angel and Night Hawk, however they weren’t the only problems the T.F.W.F. had. Signing former ECHA talent in the form of Warfare, ILM, Ray Rush, Tremere and Killboy also hurt the fed, expecting more of an initial push because of their reputations rather than their skill Rush and Warfare made it quite clear were they stood in regard to Killboy and Tremere’s push. In ECHA Tremere and Killboy had been no more than bit players, more interested in putting on a stellar feud than kissing e-fed owner ass to get the big shots. Ian however, felt that of the group Killboy and Tremere were the most talented and pushed them making Rush and Warfare earn their stripes like everyone else. ILM didn’t last long after the entrance to the T.F.W.F. a few months before he called it a day, Warfare the former ECHA Champion didn’t take kindly to his mid card status and although trying on occasion also fell foul, to his credit Rush stuck it out for sometime, but was always found moaning about Tremere and Killboy in the back. Despite these small tensions the major problem was between the new guys and the old guard. After the initial impact of Night Hawk he won the strap in an awesomely booked over the top rope ‘rumble’ type match at Ice Storm 2k. The twist engineered by Ian and Martin at the end would see Hawk turn his back on his friend Angel and join in an elite faction known as The Four Corners (Night Hawk, The English Invader, Da Gremlin and Tiger Young) and start a program with Angel leading to a match at Death or Glory 2001. The problem arised was the old guard was not happy about the way T.F.W.F. was going, call it jealousy or whatever tensions were high and much verbal attacking happened on the Guest Book and the infamous T.F.W.F. Chat Room. Another problem… Advanced booking so far had never been Ian’s strong point and off the back of a new mini-PPV Night of the Revolution focused around new T.F.W.F. CEO Killboy, the T.F.W.F. had embraced a hardcore division with newer stars like Phenom, Torch and The Peacemaker helping to headline it. However, a lot of the same tensions still remained. While T.F.W.F. was putting on more extreme and exciting matches and almost tweaking their philosophies, problems still emerged at the top. After shocking the federation by winning the World title from Night Hawk, The Damned Yankee lost it back a month later to Hawk again. Two problems could emerge from this: 1) Yankee’s character was being suppressed because of the Hawk and Angel feud even though he might well have been the best at the time he didn't have a top class feud. 2) Night Hawk was very vulnerable to losing the World title prior to June 23rd 2001!
In his not so infident wisdom Ian then booked a triple threat match for the World title at Highlight Night 2001 including old guard member Pimp In. Much to the shock of everyone Pimp In won the match and suckered any chances of a Hawk vs. Angel match for the World title. With all their heat gone now they had both lost to Pimp In, in stepped Howard for the most ridiculous storyline of all time turning Pimp In and Gremlin into the long lost sons of the Management. Fury exploded from here on in as Angel reacted to the storyline as preposterous which it was and claimed Pimp In should not have won the title (which was uncalled for) and T.F.W.F. was at war with each other, coupled with this The Damned Yankee won the title a few weeks later and then left the T.F.W.F. while he was still the Champion!!! The T.F.W.F. had tasted the first real moment of so called 'e-wrestling drama' and Ian for one vowed to never allow it to surfacae again. A vacant title what shall we do… All good things come to an end and smelling the fact his fed was ending Ian had a sit down and a long hard think. The realization was clear, the T.F.W.F. and its rpers were heading in the direction of Hardcore wrestling. Killboy, Tremere, Torch, The Peacemaker and Phenom in particular were lighting up the fed with their angles and rping and it was all based around hardcore matches. With this in mind Ian put together a tournament called the Stips Carry Entire Tournament. Basically a hardcore tourney for the World title. Again outrage from Angel and Hawk as the title was once again not guaranteed to be in their match at the PPV, and guess what….a hardcore wrestler won the belt…Killboy the most unlikely of all world champions was exactly that! Death or Glory the biggest pile of crap ever… The culmination of the entire years wrestling in one night of magic was looking pretty bleak. Firstly an explosive email saw Angel and Hawk leave the T.F.W.F. weeks before the PPV. With the main event duo gone, Ian had to think fast, he was lucky in the fact Killboy lost the title weeks before the PPV to English Invader as it seemed Killboy would defend this belt against Torch in the third smallest feud on the card. With Invader as Champion, Ian took a new step and in panic wrote some ridiculous every title in one match contest throwing half of the superstars of the T.F.W.F. into one gold fest. 2 years down from his e-fed debuting the young Ian was learning things which would help map the T.F.W.F. for years to come, how to screw up badly, but still keep the ship above water. The match did little more than add a new notch to the T.F.W.F. title an amazing rookie rper in the form of Synn. Synn won the World title in a few weeks of his arrival, promptly packed in the T.F.W.F. a week later and jobbed the belt back to The English Invader at DD2. Rebuilding the glory… Despite Angel and Hawk walking away…Naldo retiring…Synn quitting after two weeks…The Yankees return with a fat Japanese guy…the T.F.W.F. did draw some positives from its few months of turmoil. The Peacemaker and Torch put on an awesome feud at DD2 for the Intercontinental title and was wonderfully scripted by Hugo and Guille. The English Invader the only main stayer from the original four was a World Champion of real strength. But one of the most promising things was the work of new guys. Mr. Showtime worked a great feud with Samson, Cry Baby was receiving rave reviews for his rping and storyline work and the Tag Team titles were solid with the emergence of the Insane Asylum. Crème de la Crème and Snap Sanderson were successful on their move after the inter-fed tournament and Chad was emerging through the ranks…this name might crop up later, lol. Most of all Ian had finally successfully fused a group of new rpers with the old guard and most of the fed seemed happy. Problem was most of the fed wasn’t at the standard the fed had been in 2000. Making a turning point... With Pimp In at the top of the fed, the sound emergence of The Peacemaker and Phenom was top contenders, Chad, Torch, Crème de la Crème, Michael Pounds and Snap Sanderson all making headways T.F.W.F. just needed to add one more piece to the puzzle. Despite the tantrums of Torch, the childish behaviour of Cry Baby...T.F.W.F. was still strong OOC and was boosted by the return of Naldo...as a heel!!! The bold move by the fed and rper sent a few shock waves through the e-fed world, but it worked a treat as Naldo alongside The Peacemaker the two most dominanting heels in T.F.W.F. at the time helped keep the storylines fresh and exciting throughout the winter of 2001. Chad was putting on a clinic by grabbing both the European and Intercontinental titles at Autumn Annihilation 2 and the emergence of the Light-Heavyweight divisions and Hardcore divisions were also exciting. 2002 upping the stakes... 2002 started strong an amazing storyline of Chris Chaos and Torch feud. T.F.W.F. had a story were Torch murdered the long lost retarded brother of Chaos, whom subsequently vowed revenge, eventually this feud would win an award for it's excellence, showing that the early days of nonsense booking and go nowehere angles were behind them, but the T.F.W.F. had also upped the stakes elsewhere. Naldo and Pimp In had long argued (playfully) on whom the better rper had been in their tandem, a date was set then for NOR 2 to decide who the better rper was, with the loser willing to retire from T.F.W.F.. It was a masterful match with Pimp In edging out his rival and becoming the new World Champion, Naldo was retired, but not before Ian pulled off one of his biggest e-fedding signings to date by grabbing the somewhat controversial rper King Kole. Time would tell whether or not this was a tactical move, but for the time being the T.F.W.F.'s position roster wise was once again incredibly strong. Making of an inter-fed war... As time had gone on, Ian had decided to dip his beak in the other areas of the inter-fed market. Rivals in the late 90s for the position that T.F.W.F. had were the likes of the DWIWF, CABWF and PFL. As time went on T.F.W.F. had also developed a massive rivalry with ECHA, but the focus on Ian's mind was to make a legitimate inter-fed war. Buying the rights to DWIWF, CABWF and PFL, Ian also released the character of "Ian" into the T.F.W.F. and effectively broke the T.F.W.F. into 4 halves of factions and feds to rage war on each other. Merging the fed... Despite their being a war, Ian realised as time went on this invasion angle could only last so long. He had brought with him as well three other Championships from those feds which T.F.W.F. stars now had (Sean 'Torch' Smythe was the DWIWF Champion, Tiger Young the PFL Sultan of Submission, Chad was the CABWF World Champion and The Peacemaker was the T.F.W.F. Heavyweight Champion.). At Death or Glory 2002 the four titles were unified known as The Undisputed World Championship, effectively meaning that the history of the PFL, CABWF, DWIWF and T.F.W.F. would be merged in a title in the T.F.W.F. e-fed. It was a historic event as Tiger Young became the first ever Undisputed World Champion. This was also significant as both Chad and Tiger Young had now become top drawer players in the T.F.W.F. taking both Giles Chadworth and Earl of Cleveland characters to the top stage as well it was certainly an exciting time as the two locked up again at Dependence Day 3, with Chad cementing his superstar status beating Young for the belt. It also signalled the end of the invasion angle in the respects of the PFL and CABWF as a storyline was created were The Management owned 50% of the T.F.W.F./DWIWF. Although seemingly complex, the angle saw Ian' T.F.W.F. against The Management's DWIWF...all this and Fallen Angel was back!!! With Pimp In returning in September alongside Night Hawk, the rosters and storylines seemed to be getting better and better. Icon vs. Icon... T.F.W.F. was at a all-time high talent and storyline wise as 2003 rolled around. Although there appeared to be some tensions and factions forming on MSN, OOC, the talent and storylines in T.F.W.F. were amazing, so amazing it only seemed fitting that at Highlight Night 2003 T.F.W.F. plunged into the first of it's Chad vs. Pimp In matches. Pimp In now the most celebrated star in T.F.W.F. history and Chad who had exploded onto the scene for the last year put on a clinic of rping. Coupled with an awesome feud of Fallen Angel vs. Tiger Young things on the surface seemed to be fantastic... The Enemy from Within... Always thought of as great tool for getting to know each other, MSN had actually become a mechanism to poison people against T.F.W.F.. However, the main tool of this was Jimmy Rickworth and Dakota Kole. Rickworth had been Giles Chadworth in the T.F.W.F. as a wrestler as well as owning the interesting concept of PFL a Ultimate fighting league federation, bitter that T.F.W.F. wouldn't allow him to reopen the PFL after buying it, Rickworth opened the F.L a carbon copy of the PFL which of course T.F.W.F. didn't have much grounds to kick up a fuss to the server providers of F.L., but was still bitter that he couldn't use a lot of the history of PFL. His response to cause anarchy in the T.F.W.F. in a sly fashion, his tool a disgruntle piece of trash in Dakota Kole aka King Kole. Kole had been unhappy that his push in T.F.W.F. had been haltered and felt that he was more deserving of Main Event status than most. Poisoning the likes of Michael Pounds, El Diablo, Snap Sanderson and Chris Chaos; Kole formed 'The Kliq' with the intention of moving the majority of T.F.W.F. rpers to F.L by poisoning them against the ones he knew would be T.F.W.F. Main Stayers. Their plan ultimately revealed when Chaos unsuccessfully tried to convince Chad, that Pimp In was part of it. With the 'Kliq's' plans revealed they left T.F.W.F. under a cloud of hatred never achieving any of their goals as Rickworth desperately tried to out do T.F.W.F. by signing old stars and promoting his fed on the T.F.W.F. Guest Book. In the end The Kliq seemingly disbanded and disappeared why T.F.W.F. prospered with the emergence of Hardcore Legend as a main eventer pitting his wits against the likes of Chad and Pimp In. With HL rising to the top quicker than bread, Mason Reid a hot product from the e-fed world was also signed to the T.F.W.F.. The enemy from within seemed crushed after their first hurdle. Creating a new force... The emergence of the Kliq though damaging had been a thought provoking experience. With this in hand three major stables were created, The DWIWF Council, The Players Club and The Freak Show. Each had their unique qualities and pointed to the direction of not only the end of the T.F.W.F. and DWIWF war, but also a return to the stables format which had dominated the 90s in the T.F.W.F.. Icon vs. Icon II... While all this was going on, Pimp In and Chad were once again being pushed to meet in a hell of a contest. The T.F.W.F. had success with the characters of Fallen Angel (since his controversial return his attitude had been amazing as well as his rping), Da Gremlin, Hardcore Legend, Crème de la Crème, Torch, The Peacemaker, The Ultimate Scally and Tiger Young were all stand outs, but the focus of the federation had been Chad and Pimp In and their year long rivalry. When Chad lost the World title to Da Gremlin in 2004, he focus changed to a full attention on Pimp In and a retirement match scheduled for Death or Glory 2004, coupled with this T.F.W.F. had to take into account both men would be gone after the PPV and worked hard to build the aforementioned characters as the successors to the crown. Particularly Crème de la Crème and Da Gremlin were being pushed, but T.F.W.F. were dealt a massive blow when both men resigned their position within a few months of one another. With Pimp In and Chad putting on an amazing match, T.F.W.F. said goodbye to two of it's greatest stars as the torch was passed to the likes of Fallen Angel and Tiger Young.
New Influences...
With
changing times in T.F.W.F. and the leaving of Tiger Young, T.F.W.F. decided
to push the wily veteran Ultimate Scally into a Main Event feud with Fallen
Angel. Coupled with this first time move, the T.F.W.F. also added the
likes of Jost McClain, Rhys Pect, Mike Mitchell, Shane Anderson, JC McDonald,
Bill Holliday, Ashton Manley and Jason Leary to its roster. Most of these
were unknown stars in the e-fedding world where T.F.W.F. once again looked
to make them big. On the OOC development, T.F.W.F. appointed a new Head
Cardwriter Sam Clark to replace the struggling Cliff Imig and set up a
board of writers in the form of Imig, Guille Cummings, Hugo Esteves, Kirk
Powers, Rhys Moore and AJ Carlilse.
2005
sees more direction
2005 saw
once again a massive change in personal within the T.F.W.F.. The beginning
of the year saw Ian take sabbatical due to work committiments meaning
that the torch was passed Sam Clark aka Head Card Writer. From a design
point of view T.F.W.F. added for the first time T.F.W.F. Boards which
allowed for a lot of OOC interaction, as well as this T.F.W.F. unsuccessfully
added Google sponsored ads, which were quickly taken away from them due
to "hit cheating". Unfortunately during this period Hugo, Cliff
and AJ left the board and the T.F.W.F. was forced to resume to one show
a week. However, this seemed to benefit the situation as Jon Baxter was
added to the board leaving a new team of Ian, Sam, Guille, Kirk, Rhys
and Jon. From a character stand point the developement of the Ultimate
Scally and Twist as legitimate Main Eventers was established through respective
title reigns. The T.F.W.F. also saw the return of Pimp In as well as more
establishment in two new factions The Upper Class (Blake True, Mike Mitchell
and Rhys Pect) and The Icons of Primetime (Jost McClain, Ashton Manley
and Jason Leary). The atmosphere OOC was tremendous as the T.F.W.F. was
getting a new attitude in a new era.
2005
sees a kick in the balls!
As the summer of 2005
rolled round the T.F.W.F. was a changing place. Due to circumstances,
Kirk Powers stepped down as a board member and was replaced by Aaron Roberts
giving the T.F.W.F. probably the most consistent board it had in many
a year (Sam Clarke, Guille Cummings, Jon Baxter, Rhys Moore & Aaron
Roberts). However, all was not rosey in the rping circles. Many a rper
was joining and not rping leaving a massive hole in the T.F.W.F. card
also meaning that the Chadworth Challenge 6 had all the makings of a bust
event. Thinking quickly, Ian cleared the roster and reinstated all those
who wanted to be and then made new feuds and brought back some old rpers
giving the T.F.W.F. some stability. This stability was rocked by the attitude
of one Hugo Esteves who was up to his old tricks of screwing over other
rpers in his rps. Making a tough decision, Ian released Hugo as Maker
and RRR severing their long time OOC friendship. From an rping stand point
Blake True was going to be the top face, Fallen Angel was the World Champion
and the T.F.W.F. was about to get another nasty shock...Mark Reynolds
was saying goodbye!
Ending a year
on a high, a new faction and 2006
2005 had been an interesting
year for T.F.W.F.. The soldification of the board had made the T.F.W.F.
pop out some of the most consistant results in sometime. But the loss
of Mark Reynolds had hurt the roster. As probably the greatest rper ever
to grace the T.F.W.F., Reynolds had upped everyones game with his incredible
writing style. Bearing this in mind, the roster looked within for answers
and it had been one staring the T.F.W.F. in the face for sometime. The
emmergence of a host of new talent such as the returning Rhys Moore, Jon
Baxter, Justin McDonald. Jost van der Fle and Aaron Roberts had meant
the T.F.W.F. had top quality rpers on the rise. This coupled with the
veteran rping instincts of Martin Clarke, Sam Clarke and Guille Cummings
allowed the T.F.W.F. to form a group known as Axis which would go head
to head against Sam Clarke's now face Hellbound...the T.F.W.F. was also
blessed by adding Sebastian Cross and Sandy Makel during this time as
well. That in addition to the shock return of Sean Parys as The Insane
Asylum set up two cracking PPVs to finish the year of (Autumn Annihilation
6 & Ice Storm 2005) which saw the emmergence of Mike Mitchell (Jon
Baxter) as the new World Champion. Things had not been all rosey during
this period. T.F.W.F. experienced some OOC problems were Matteo Baron
as Kagemusha Tempura betrayed the T.F.W.F. and left to become the president
of RKW, the e-fed of roughkut.com. This had however not soured relations between
the two parties, but T.F.W.F. still parted ways with Roughkut.com at the
end of 2005. Was this a smart move? After all roughkut had given T.F.W.F.
a hell of a lot of exposure. Still with this burning question hanging
over the head of the future of T.F.W.F., it rolled into it's 8th year
on the internet.
Complacency
leads to disaster...and then we bounce back!
2006 rolled seemingly casually on. With the most controversial OOC moment of all time which personally effected Ian involving "Jost van der Fle", the omens did not seem good for the T.F.W.F. and caused the head honcho to rethink his priorities within the federation. The roster had right for concern as the OOC developements deeply effected Ian's running of the site. Coupled with that the roster was having problems as well, The return of the Asylum was a complete bust and the rping for the site had become completely lax. As more problems developed Ian actually officially shut down the T.F.W.F. feeling the heart was not there....it lasted less than 24 hours. Under much protest the site reopened and thing seemed back on track again. The T.F.W.F. also during this period had seen the dramatic return of The Damned Yankee as well as later on Samson meaning two legends had come back into the fray. As new men Cross and Makel continued to develop and Mitchell and Pect put on a tremendous Main Event feud the omens turned from the worst possible scenario to the best and with Death or Glory 2006 still to come in June, things seemed a hell of a lot brighter. Goodbye to two and two rise from the dead! Spurned on by a rejuvenated roster, T.F.W.F. was hit by another blow when two board members Rhys Moore and Aaron Roberts retired from the T.F.W.F.. Roberts was a bad blow since he retired as a rper as well. However, every cloud does have a silver lining and the recent return of Phenom spiced the Hellbound (Angel, Yankee and Phenom) war with Axis (Pect, McDonald, Anderson and Roberts), but who could predict that Cliff Imig like a phoenix from the flames would emerge adding to a fantastic storyline where he joined Hellbound. Coupled with amazing feuds such as Cross vs. Lupino, Samson vs,. Phenom and McDonald/Anderson vs. Yankee/Angel, T.F.W.F. was looking strong adding the solid Jeff Gaplinski as Chris Fox to the roster as well as two ladies in the form of Allie Percivald and Kirsta Lewis joining the ranks. 2007 serves the T.F.W.F a few hard balls... Going into 2007, it seemed the T.F.W.F. was certainly riding high. A new look roster coupled with what appeared to be a budding T.F.W.F. Board made things look extremely promising. The T.F.W.F. continued to add talent. John Roe had axed The Damned Yankee, but came back with a fresh character known as Number 23 who flew out of the gates with a load of promise. The T.F.W.F. also added Jag a well known e-fed machine with his character Allen Bartsch a real find. There was also developements on the stable front as Axis was dropped in favour of a new stable of Hellbound lead by Fallen Angel. Justin McDonald was the proudest man in the T.F.W.F. as he captured the World title at the end of 2006 marking an incredible rise in his rping skill. James Onlee was added to add fuel to the Hour of Power with Tremere and Samson part of the group their stock rose dramatically. Basically the T.F.W.F. was just sitting very happy. When disaster struck...a number of promiment superstars were taken out of the game for periods of time due to a variety of reasons leaving the T.F.W.F. with a floundering roster and no Ian...with Ian away, Sambo grabbed the reigns and lead the sinking T.F.W.F. ship away from troubled waters. The loss in this period included JC McDonald, Samson, Tiger Young, Phenom, Kirsta Lewis, Sandy Makel, Shane Anderson to name but a few of the big names. The T.F.W.F. also relased constant excuse maker Mysti from the roster as well as underperforming Frost as well. With massive gaps Sam Clarke did a fantastic job along with the board of plugging them only to watch T.F.W.F. veteran and board member Guille quit for no apparent reason. With another blow dealt, Ian returned and alongside a new board (including Jag) got the T.F.W.F. out of troubled waters. With all the hard knocks the T.F.W.F. had taken, the dedication of Sam, Cliff and JB from the Board could not be taken lightly. T.F.W.F. seemed to have gone through troubled times again with its no shows for D.O.G. 2007. With a new look roster going into Dependence Day 8 and the summer of 2007, once more the times of change would be apparent to the T.F.W.F. and a guranteed new World Champion for the rpers...must be crowned!!! The T.F.W.F. added another new board member in the form of Chad Onlee during the year and celebrated 10 years on the net at Autumn Annihilation 8 with a show that included the likes of stars from CWA, PWX and RKW. The T.F.W.F. also advanced with music for bios and videos for the site during the year. In addition to this AA8 saw a dramtic 10 new and old rpers return to T.F.W.F.!!! 2008 we take off like a rocket... Coming off the celebration of 10 years of T.F.W.F. and the fantastic conclusion to a Mike Mitchell and Fallen Angel feud at Ice Storm 2007, T.F.W.F. would be rocked by the emergence of Sebastian Cross and James Onlee into the Main Event scene of the T.F.W.F.. Unfortunately along the way other up and coming characters such as JC McDonald and Number 23 had been lost along the way, but the T.F.W.F. became incredibly focus driven for 08' with Onlee and Cross eptomizing this very essence. The Board was solid as ever, with Jag stepping down, Marq Abriglio had been appointed the new head of graphics and board member in the T.F.W.F.. Also formations from the PWX would surface in TFWF as Pariah, Boyd, Norcia and Kelly joined the ranks. Inconsistant apperances from the 4 would cause a rift between TFWF management and them which forced at some stages all four to go with only Skylar Kelly ever working with TFWF members again. Around this time the CWC was formed off the back of the HiWF and old PWX, it lasted a month, but would serve talent to the T.F.W.F. including Nickles, Exile, Kent Clark, James Matthews and the controversial closet lesbian Jackson. Although Jackson would eventually blow up in the faces of the TFWF Management, the T.F.W.F. had added some special rpers in the other forms and later would add Tank a former RKW great into the midst as well. External projects also became focus points for the likes of Ian and Sam as they developed the podcast radio show known as the 'EFED KNIGHTS' which became an overnight success and in the summer of 2008 would lead to a revolutionary community and forums which almost buried RK.COM. In the T.F.W.F. itself, Onlee and Cross put on one of the storylines of the year...Project Nova, the reformed Flawless Connection and the one night only Extreme Players treated the fans to a dream tag team title match at D.O.G. 2008. On top of that Fallen Angel caputred the World title for a 5th time tying Tiger Young for second on the all time leader board and faced Pimp In in a one night only match at D.O.G. proving he still had it, Pimp In regained the title for a 7th time leading to the DD9 rumble in which Angel got back the title for a 6th time. The T.F.W.F. was brimming with new talent as the rookies of yester year were now the wise veterans and many records were being broken left right and centre. The year continued with the emergence of the E-fed Knights as a prominent force in the world e-wrestling and saw the T.F.W.F. join the ranks of The Experts. Becoming an instant global fed the partnership saw both parties gaining a lot from it. In the ring Civil Unrest became a dominant face stable, TCK became the sought after super mega heel stable. Coupled with the emergence of Dorian Wong and Sandy Makel as Main Event level rpers...the T.F.W.F. was golden, finishing out the year in a war with the VWF. 2009 continues the strong tradition... Coming into 2009, changes were straight off the bat. Cliff Imig, long serving board member and handler of Eaton Gore stepped down and for the first time in its history, the T.F.W.F. appointed a female board member in the form of Georgie Nickles. She would join the likes of Ian, Sam, Chad O., Marq and JB keeping the tradition of six alive. With the King of the Deathmatches just around the corner and the emergence of rpers such as Exile, Jose Ramon, Brandon Watkins, Jonnah Street, Scorpio, Ness, Kent Clark and Nickles herself, the T.F.W.F. was looking like having a solid year. They added famed Experts legend Crazyman to their roster as well as former VWF Rper Kyle who came into the fold as The Black Widowmaker. Although up and comer Seth Black would fail the PPV Wellness policy as well as now two time offender Iziah Hunter gone too, the T.F.W.F. had a bright future a head with the return to rping of both Tiger Young and JC McDonald helping to reform a stable known as the aMc which has been a bit of a bust first time around. Angel, Lewis and 5 time Tag Team Champions (arguably the best in the game) Project Nova were still under The Career Killers banner and while Civil Unrest was just about staying alive a new comedy based stable known as Desert Sex emerged (housing Scorpio, Roberts and Ness). On the non stable front, Sebastian Cross continued his lengthy title reign with pretenders such as Dorian Wong and Sandy Makel to his throne as the top rper in the game. Although, fallout between idiotic, fat tit bearing walrus boy Barney Green and Jace Gryphon had cost the blow off T.F.W.F. vs VWF PPV, the T.F.W.F. had never been stronger nor had its relationships with feds like VWF and PWR...its association with The Experts...and of course the continued success of E-Knights of the Roundtable which continued to prosper in the early months of 2009. 2009 A DREAM IS REALIZED Riding strong with a hell of a roster, the T.F.W.F. embarked on one of its most complicated storylines yet. Working alongside the already award winning Sebastian Cross and Dorian Wong feud, the T.F.W.F. put plans into motion to work an inter fed feud alongside up and coming e-fed PWR. Working alongside Nick, Chris and Brandon of PWR, Ian and the Board successfully were able to intergrate a heavily built up inter promotional PPV called Hard Steel: Revolution Rising. Considered by many to be a ground breaking success of a PPV, it gained much praise throughout the community for its results. For Ian personally, it was a milestone of something he had wanted to achieve for so long and was not short in thanking the likes of Chris, Nick and Brandon of PWR as well as people within his own fed specifically Sam, Marq, JB, Cindy on the Board. Although success would also see the departing of the likes of JB from active rping and OOCing it did mean that he was here to witness one of the finest moments in fedding history. 2009 unfortunately the OOC worm turns as we head to Siberia The conclusion of the PWR feud was realized, but the other major feud was concluding the Cross and Wong feud. Bringing in the likes of Cool Bryan's Siberian Wrestling seemed the more logical move and had people in character very very excited. Out of character things werent so hot. Once more the roster was split on various decisions on rping and the use of tools such as MSN to "shit stir" it forced the T.F.W.F. and the respective parites of Cindy, Laura and Cliff to part ways. Losing Cindy a valuable board member was a hard decision for both her and the T.F.W.F. and of course Cliff had been a mainstay with the fed for sometime proving over the years to be a strong rper and allie of the great e-fed. It hurt, but we moved on. Further on top of this Kirsta decided to stab all the communities in the back and leave T.F.W.F. high and dry to work once more with Notorious Dave Douchebag at seemingly the 300th attempt at starting Uncensored. But the T.F.W.F. once more showed the fed is bigger than any one rper. Marq had returned with a new character called Viktor Kovalenko, Chris was back in the fold as Exile, Jack Hondo signed to join the fed as well and rumoured 3 new signings for the New Year had T.F.W.F. buzzing and of course...Cross and Wong would finally come to a head in Siberia. 2010 keep on trucking The new year saw more excitement for the T.F.W.F. with a successful interfed PPV done with Bryan's Siberia, the T.F.W.F. saw Marq once more prove to be one of the great rpers of our game by winning the KOTDM tournament with his new character Viktor Kovalenko. T.F.W.F. also experimented for the first time with audio results for a rumble held at Highlight Night 2010 and for the first time since 1998, the voices of Scoop and Snoop were heard by all. Embarking on side projects alongside Russ from the Experts and T-Bone from CWC...T.F.W.F. stars such as Viktor Kovalenko, Jose Ramon, Chester Addison and Fallen Angel participated in the first ever inter interfed PPV called 'On Hallowed Ground' hosted on EFK. With Ian lending himself to the voices of Mahoney McMillian and VWF valet Danny Orchard once more it was a major success for the hobby. T.F.W.F.'s roster continued to expand with the addition of Latrisha former PWR World Champion to the roster adding her to the mix of the dubbed '4 THE 11' who became the nemesis of top heel stable The Career Killers. With a mini PPV and its first major one out of the way for 2010. All eyes settled firmly on Death or Glory 2010. Once more setting the standard for the rest of the year, the T.F.W.F. continued to expand it's roster adding the likes of rookie stars like Rick Rampage and Dragon Demonico and big name signings like Jack Benevolence and MDK. Unfortunately the T.F.W.F. parted ways with the likes of Chad Onlee and Tim during 2010 leaving major holes in a reshaping roster, but at the top for the first time in his T.F.W.F. career was T.F.W.F. veteran Phenom finishing out the year World Champion.
2011 the final rolls of the dice The T.F.W.F. started its journey into the twilight years in 2011 which would be the last full year of the T.F.W.F.. Signings galore came into the fed and the biggest PPV of the year Death or Glory 2011 was headlined by Fallen Angel and Phenom for the World Heavyweight Championship. The fed also reintroduced Thursday Torcher back into the mix as a mini show on a weekly basis. On sad terms the T.F.W.F. parted terms with mainstays Aaron, Guille, Jonnah and Justin who all retired in 2011 on highs and in the right manner. Adding to the roster the federation signed a host of talent from the EW Experts Extreme Tournament like Jonny Briggs, AC Thunder, Sean Panache, Leander Apollo, Jason Proctor and the San Diego Seagulls. On top of this there was an emerging crop of new guys like Demonico, Rampage, Benevolence who were really turning heads. The federation also embarked on a storyline with The One Ring Circus which would look to revolutionize the state of the game for years to come. C |
